STAY GROUNDED WITH ALBA AND ERIK

Stay Grounded with Alba and Erik

This Spring, PLEASURE GROUND had the honor of creating a pair of bespoke bridal gloves for the wedding of our dear friend, interior architect Alba Kane and her husband, art director of Tiger of Sweden, Erik Meilgaard ♡ A moment now featured in Vogue Scandinavia.

Alba collaborated on her dress with close friend and emerging Swedish designer Charlie Malmsten. Her vision was to marry Stockholm Scandi minimalism with the cinematic, surreal atmosphere of Los Angeles. The result was infused with touches of Swedish goth and hues that mirrored the historic church where the ceremony took place. The look was dramatic, personal, and deeply rooted in symbolism.

To complete her ensemble, Alba asked us to design custom wedding gloves. Lovingly crafted in Copenhagen from 4-way stretch mesh, we hand-embroidered the couple’s wedding logo directly into the fabric, making each stitch a part of their story. The gloves were conceived not just as accessories, but as an extension of the look: delicate yet bold, referencing both tradition and rebellion.

The gloves became a final touch that tied together history, friendship, and craft, elements that are at the heart of PLEASURE GROUND.

We approached the gloves as a wearable metaphor, creating a bridge between cultures, places, and memories. At PLEASURE GROUND, pieces are always created to carry stories forward. In this case, they marked not only a love between two people, but also the friendships and creative kinships that shaped the celebration.
